Compensation: $95k-$115k/year

Essential functions:

Job Purpose: Provides operational power by developing and maintaining electrical system.

Job Duties:

Achieves electrical engineering operational objectives by contributing electrical engineering information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews, preparing and completing action plans, implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards, resolving problems, completing audits, identifying trends; determining administrative system improvement, implementing changes.

  • Product design and development from electrical prospective.
  • Product Schematic development, analysis and PCB design and Gerber file generation.
  • Meets electrical engineering financial objectives by forecasting electrical engineering requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions.
  • Develops strategic electrical plans by studying operational plans, studying existing conditions, determining needs to accomplish operational plans, mapping solutions, updating and modifying requirements and solutions, preparing cost estimates and budgets.
  • Plans electrical projects by determining specifications, selecting contractors, establishing installation schedules, planning shut-downs and installations. Integrating requirements with architectural and mechanical designs, verifying code requirement, updating cost estimates.
  • Completes electrical projects by supervising installations, resolving design issues.
  • Maintains electrical systems by establishing and enforcing preventive and on-going maintenance, and testing programs, scheduling repairs, coordinating shut-downs and installations.
  • Updates job knowledge by remaining current on codes and requirements, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations.

Must Have:

  • Proficient in schematic capture & PCB design software.
  • Proficient in power supply design, Power PCB Generation for 115 VAC, 3phase or single phase. 400 HZ, upto 70 amps systems or 28 VDC, 70 amps systems.
  • Knowledge of DO-160G( EMI/EMC in particular)
  • Extensive experience in Orcad or Altium software.
  • Experience in product support and troubleshooting power systems.
  • Experience in using electrical test instruments like Ground Bond Tester, Oscilloscope etc.

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings and computer generated reports.
  • Proficient in 3D CAD modeling, product data management.
  • Proficient in Solidworks Design Environment.
  • Proficient in developing Qualification Test Procedures and Reports.
  • Excellent knowledge of Engineering Change Management Process.
  • Background in aerospace electrical engineering or electrical/electronic engineering is preferred.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years' experience in product design and development.
  • Solidworks experience is required.
