The candidate should display strong technical design capabilities, leadership experience and clear communications skills to lead MEP projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design of electrical systems for a variety of public sector building types and guiding technical staff through project completion. This position reports to the Company President.



  • Manage assigned projects including coordination with a multi-discipline design team and oversight of production assigned to junior staff
  • Design of branch circuit distribution systems for power and lighting in commercial facilities
  • Design of overall power distribution system
  • Design of fire alarm system
  • Perform calculations to support system designs
  • Attend design and/or construction meetings as required
  • Perform CA tasks, review submittals /shop drawings, respond to RFIs and attend CA meetings
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate field installations and conduct field observations
  • Provide overall direction for design team from inception to completion on a project-specific basis
  • Assists in business development efforts in coordination with the company's Business Development Director


  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related
  • Minimum 7 years' experiencein electrical system design for commercial structures and public facilities
  • Experienced at project management including managing work to produce projects on schedule and within budget
  • Knowledge of Auto CAD and Revit; proficient in MS Excel and MS Word
  • Must have the ability to interact and perform as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills are required



  • Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching forward and reaching overhead
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds; Infrequent lifting of up to 50 pounds
